Location, location, location

Moving abroad isn’t just for the rich and famous. CAs are trading in home-grown scenery for a foreign view. According to a survey of CAs by Think Global Recruitment, 40% of respondents say improved lifestyle is the main reason they decided to relocate. For CAs, life abroad includes exposure to culture, outdoor activities and increased socializing. Motivating factors to move include work experience, weather and developing language skills. And while 79% of survey respondents said they were financially better off working abroad,a mere 7% cited money as a reason to relocate. Once abroad, 83% of respondents said they experienced a better work/life balance, 94% enjoyed an improved lifestyle and 72% found improved quality of work.Another 91% said working overseas helps long-term career development via demonstrating adaptability to change — a sought-after skill formanagement positions.
