CFP exam results announced
Just over half (53.36%) of the 1,220 candidates who wrote the Financial Planners Standards Council's Certified Financial Planner™ Examination in November 2003 passed. Of those writing the exam for the first time, 62.53% passed.
The six-hour CFP exam is administered in both official languages twice a year. The November examination was held in 59 centres across Canada. Topics covered reflect the knowledge, skills and professional competence required in the current practice of financial planning as established by CFP professionals and academics from across the country.
A list of the 651 successful candidates will be published in The Globe and Mail on Thursday, January 8.
The next CFP exam will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2004. Registration closes on May 5, 2004. Examination information is available at www.cfp-ca.org.
